4/15**EDITED TO ADD PHOTO'S of the "Crafting Stash". The two top photo's represent the 12x12 acetate transparencies. Just so you know, you won't find these in stores anymore, I designed them around four years ago and I think they fit much more into today's crafting trends:). The third photo is a selection of some of the foil printed papers that will be given away. It is very difficult to photograph the sparkle but I know you creative folks can imagine. I am changing the deadline to 4/20 to give us more time to get names in the hat.Tell your friends and read on to find out more about the giveaway and don't forget to hop over to Emily's blog to see the side bar, there are a few new people signed up to give stuff away.

Today I mentioned to a few friends that I really need to share some of my excess art supplies. Being a product designer, I receive contract samples of my new product and often times I am too busy to do anything with it. I really want to see it being used and not just sitting here gathering dust. I read about a great idea on Emily Falconbridge's blog, she posted a "Stash it Forward" give away on her blog. Her idea was to help and bless those who might have a difficult time affording items for their art/scrapbook making. I love the idea and I want to join in along with a handful of others who are "stashing forward". You can visit her blog to see the links of others that are participating. Sometimes I think things are meant to be and I just stumbled on her blog tonight and it helped me to get rolling with this idea I had to give some stuff away.

Here is how it will work. Emily clarified on her blog that the giveaway was meant to help someone who might not have a budget for art supplies and I would like to honor that as well so if that sounds like you or someone you know then please leave me a comment in my comment box and on Wednesday, April 16th I will draw two names at random to receive a nice selection of specialty scrapbook papers (many printed with foil) and some lovely transparencies (as pictured above). I will get in the studio sometime tomorrow and take a photo of what I am going to give away..Also, because of postage I am going to limit the giveaway to US residents this time. If you know someone deserving let them know or post for them...xo-C

What a cool idea. I have a friend in my MOPS group named Jody who would loves scrapbooking and crafting of all different kinds. She can't really afford to do it right now, but how cool would it be if she would go get her mail and there was a box of beautiful supplies. I thought of her immediately because your discontinued line, Flourish, just screams her name. Anyway, if you pick her to send some things to, I will join in and give her a package of some of my things that have been taking up space in my craft room as well. Well, ok, maybe I'll just do it anyway, but it would be even more fun to know it was a double blessing.

I create altered books (ten and fifty cent books from goodwill) and use them for my scrapbooking instead of buying photo albums. I gather lots of ideas from the scrapbook stores (can't afford), and try to copy them using materials like paper bags, a little paint, glue gun, old buttons, etc. I have very little supplies, and I would put to use any treasures you have!

I'm a long-time Jill of All Trades crafter (mostly sewing/embroidery/etc. so far), and I'm starting to do more paper/collage type projects. With baby #2 on the way, I'm on a tight budget, but I'd love some goodies to play with! And I'd be happy to forward fabric scraps/squares to someone who needs them to keep the love flowing.

This is just fantastic! Emily is my muse (one of them anyways!), so cool that you are joining in on this with her and all the others that are too.

Hope you had a wonderful weekend!

Blessings,
Jen

p.s. I'm not posting to be considered in the drawing, just wanted to say how excited I was that you were doing this!

such a great idea- I'm a single mom working 4 minimum wage, and would love to be chosen :)

I have more stuff than I can handle myself but I wanted to tell you that I think its wonderful that you're giving stuff away. I've been trying to destash myself lately. I'll have to get some stuff together and copy your giveaway to needy people. What a geat idea.

Great idea Christine! (by way of Emily : ) ) I have a friend named Shelly who is just getting started scrapbooking, however due to finances, it is her last priority and she has saccrificed her new found hobby for the obvious necessities of her family. Love to see the scrap world unite to share the love. Take care. -Alisa

I would love to surprise my girl scout troop with some lovely art supplies. They are all so sweet & unique! Thanks for sharing - Julie

I'd love to put my sister-in-law in your drawing. She is a student and starting to scrapbook. It would be fun to give her a boost to start this great hobby. Thanks.

WOW! this is so nice of you to do something like this........ i know I am probably late on this but I would love to be considered for the drawing. I just left the military to spend more time with my kids (3girls) and my husband who still serving, we are both full time students, and I can't find a job :(
