I took my girl's to the Long Beach Quilt Festival on Friday and they were able to take an impromptu mixed media flower class with Jeanie Palmer Moore at the Make IT University. Freemotion stitched flowers on canvas, colored with pastels and layered together with a hand made button. Super FUN!

Summer Joys

Finding joy in the early morning hours painting before anyone awakes. Blissful quiet time.

And evening walks after dinner.

God is the number one artist in my book! Don't you think?!

Summer studio

In between being a "mom taxi" I'm enjoying my moments painting summer seashells at my newly configured home studio. The lovely studio I rent sits empty for the summer months as I tend to my sweet girls and their bustling summer schedule. Stealing a few moments here and there to paint has filled my creative well.
